Why is it important for children to have an education?

The emotional, social and physical development of young children has a direct effect on their overall development and on the adult they will become. That is why understanding the need to invest in very young children is so important, so as to maximize their future well-being.

The Sisonke Project has seen the installation of major technological infrastructure in and between schools to provide Internet as a tool to reach out, stream, promote student/teacher interaction and provide access to online teaching platforms.

The methodology behind MySisonke (which means ‘together’) is to create a platform whereby top-rated Schools participate in developing training material and classroom sessions whilst interacting over a Fibre WAN and extend a hand to neighboring Schools in:

  • Pretoria (Menlopark)

  • Mamelodi (Stanza Bopape)

  • Soshanguve (Meetseng)

  • Vastfontein (Batho Pele)

  • Irene (Middle School)
